Binkie-free five days and counting....

Yes, it's true-we have become a binkie-free house!!! Thank you, thank you, please hold your applause :) We were down to only having the binkies at nap and bed time, but now we don't use them at all.
We've been telling the kids the last few weeks how they are big boys and a big girl now, and that binkies are almost all gone. Then I started telling them about how our friend Eden had a baby and that her baby would need the binkies. And since they are a big boy/big girl they won't need them anymore.

"How about we give our binkies to Eden's new baby?"
"yeah"
"Wouldn't that me nice?"
"yeah"

Of course they say "yeah" to lots of things.....

So we have not seen the baby yet, but last Sunday after they spent the afternoon swimming, we told them we gave the binkies to the baby and when they go night night they won't have their binkies anymore. They were ok with that until it was actually time to go to bed:) Well, the boys fussed a little, but then they calmed down and they just were talking to each other before they finally fell asleep. Now Elizabeth on the other hand.....she was not very happy. The upshot is that Daddy has to rub her back a little to calm her down and then she will go to sleep. Most nights he can just do it as she lays down, but some nights he has to go back in. But all in all, she is doing really well, since she was the one that had became the most attached to it.

Next stop-potty training!!!
